    Description

    Not certain of the age of this, Katar measures 16" long overall and has a yellow brownish patina, may be made out of brass, faded scroll decoration on the blade, cross-guard area and arm sides.  the scissor opening mechanism is not working, front lever moves up and down without any action, the other one is not connected on one side, and the side arms can be removed to come off too.   A nice piece that warrants further research and a full restoration.  We have made no attempt to clean it.  See photos for further details, clarification, and condition.
