A Victorian Scottish Highland dress skean dhu, (sgian dubh), black pressed horn hilt of intertwined rope work design and silver decorated top and bottom mounts, the top mount set with a cairngorm stone, 3½ inch single edged blade (stained) with a single fuller either side and a scalloped back edge, the leather covered sheath with decorated hallmarked silver mounts, Glasgow 1901 and the makers mark RWF for R W Forsyth, (listed as Highland accessory makers).
