Dual Cardioid Pickup Patterns
The microphone features dual cardioid microphone capsules to capture the front and rear sound fields around the camera, allowing it to pick up audio from the camera operator/interviewer/journalist filming the scene. For the first time ever you can now capture the camera operator directly so they don’t sound muffled or distant when they narrate a scene or ask someone on camera a question, providing improved sound for interviews and voice-overs.
AUX 3.5mm Input
Simply flip the switch to stereo and plug in your lavalier or wireless receiver. The D4 DUO also has a very special feature that exemplifies our company motto of “Do More. Carry Less.” Its 3.5mm AUX input bypasses audio from the rear capsule and sends it to the right channel of your camera and the front capsule’s audio on the left. No longer do you need to carry around bulky camera mixers or hard-to-find stereo splitter cables. All of that is built into the microphone.
No Battery Required
No battery required, and it can be used on cameras, mobile phones, tablets, and laptop devices through the standard TRS3.5mm cable. Powered via plug-in power from the camera, so it can be used by connecting the DSLRs without using batteries.

The D4 DUO weighs only 40 grams (1.4 oz) which makes it one of the lightest compact camera microphones on the market. Now you can add high-quality audio to your camera setup without having to weigh it down.

Equipped with a Rycote shock-absorbing bracket, made of abrasion-resistant thermal plastic material, which is not easy to break and is light and stable. Designed for fast-moving, run-and-gun DSLR/mirrorless videographers. it can effectively reduce the shaking caused by noise. Paired with two deadcat windscreens, the high-quality synthetic fur skin can resist extreme wind noise. Whether it is a pleasant afternoon with a breeze or a roaring wind on the top of a mountain, it can provide excellent wind protection for your outdoor audio recording effect.
Dual Mono/Stereo Recording
This is perfect for when you want to capture an interview with someone but also need to record the sounds of the environment on a separate track that you can use to balance the whole soundscape of the scene. The front capsule’s audio on the left and your AUX audio or the rear capsule’s audio on the right channel of your camera or recorder.
