Jade Mughal Indian Khanjar Jambiya with Wootz Blade & Red Stones.
These daggers were popular in Mughal court dresses
Iron blade with a wootz forging pattern. Gold foliage decoration 1 3/4"  (4,4cm) on blade, extending 2 3/4" (7cm) from the blade to the bolster. The top 3 1/4" (8,3cm) hilt is exquisite dark green carved jade. There are red stones set in silver on either side of the pommel. There is a missing stone, presumably red with a silver setting at the top of the pommel. These stones are normally ruby or pink saphire but have not been tested.

Missing sheath
Minor surface oxidation on blade, no pitting or corrosion, as is but the piece could benefit from a cleaning and an etch to bring out the blade's full potential if desired. Jade has a few minor scuffs and scrapes. Gold inlay is 85-90% intact.
