Dagger (short sword or cutlass) type with case-ornate-Oriental

an Oriental style dagger type weapon.  I got this about 20 years ago at an auction and have no information about it.  I just got it to add to my collection and for display.  The case looks like it might be a dragon ad has different jewels of some kind on it.  There are many of them missing (was like that when I purchased it.)  The blade is also very rusted (also like that when I purchased it.)  It might come off with something like Rustoleum (not sure since I just had this on display with many others and never tried to do anything to it.)  The case has two rings which will allow you to put a chain or other type of material through them and hang it if you so desire.  The handle of the dagger is also ornate and you will have to look at the pictures to decide for yourself what the depiction is on the handle.  I never knew for sure what it is suppose to be.  This is just a fun piece that I picked up.  You might care to restore it.  I think you could easily find the missing beads to restore the case and the blade should be able to be restored if you know what chemicals to use.  It is pretty old but I am not sure exactly how old.  Again, just a fun piece to add to any collection.

Blade=6.5" long
Blade and handle=10" long
Sheath (Case)=10.5" long
Condition: Be sure to read all of the above and see the pictures.  No idea what type of metal it is, where it was made, or who made it.
