Antique,Very Rare and Unique 1st half of the 18th Century An Italian, Brescian Stiletto. RENAISSANCE.Brescia, Italy has been noted for the quality of its metal work since the early Renaissance. Pierced, embossed and relief chiseled elements for furniture, swords, daggers, armor and later, firearms of the finest quality were produced.
This stiletto is a product of a Brescian workshop circa 1750th
Superb metal work with gracefully twisted hilt and rectangular blade, turning into a triangular tip, made to easily penetrate protective clothing.
Very good condition consistent with the age, only the tip is slightly damaged, but still sharp as a niddle.
