    Description

Here is a beautiful left hand dagger, sword breaker with gold accents and a 1726 date. The blade, pommel and cross guard quillons are highlighted in gold. I believe the pommel is in the form of a thistle with its top spire gold gilded. Spiral carved hard wood grip, Cross guard with counter guard loop & long quillons with gold bands at the ends. Blade has a golden crescent moon with face surrounded by gold accents on obverse side at ricaso. Reverse side ricaso has the date 1726 & the letter M in gold. Blade is single edged with the sword breaker teeth cut into the cutting edge.  Each arrow point has sharpened edges. Opposite edge is a flat spine. The tip is double edged up to the first tooth. It looks like someone clear coated the blade for rust protection.
    Overall length 22 3/4". Blade 14 7/8" long X 2" wide at the hilt, 1 3/4" at the teeth. Cross guard 9 3/4" wide. 2 Lbs. 0.8 oz.
