I truly love this truck.
I bought this truck on eBay in 2008 with ~45kmiles.
First owner was an older couple inAZ that used it to go see their horses 2x a day.
A local fire chief owned it briefly but hiswife didn’t want a stick shift.
Then it’sbeen my daily driver, lumber hauler, and family outing transportation sincethen.
I’m only selling because everybodyquit making stick shifts and I’d rather start with something newer if it’sgoing to be my last one.
My timing wasterrible, and I decided to upgrade during the worst used truck market indecades.
I replaced this one with a similar2015 Ram, and I already miss a number of things about my trusty old Chevy. (
lower
height, smoother ride, better fuel economy, shorterclutch pedal travel, shorter length, more comfortable armrests).

If you use defrost, the air door will be stuckin that position until you reach under the dash to move it back.
Other positions work fine.
·
Few drips of oil from (I think) rear main crankseal.
It doesn’t leak enough that you’dever have to top off, but it will make spots on the driveway or garage floor.
·
Broken plastic bezel around power window switchon rear left door
·
Speaker(s) blown.
Fine for news radio, music does not soundgreat.
·
Might want new batteries if you’re in a coldclimate.
With good batteries it canstart unaided down to 0F.
It’s got ablock heater and
oilpan
heater if you need to gocolder than that.
The truck sat a lotduring COVID shutdowns and I’ve had to jump it if it sat a week or so withoutrunning.
After a few jump starts, Iwouldn’t count on a 0F start next winter if the batteries aren’t replaced.

Paint issues

Peeling on roof w/ rust

Peeling on small spot on driver’s door, withlousy attempted repair

Multiple rock chips on hood

Metal issues
o
Rear bumper hit a tree once after sliding onice.
It curled in and damaged the nearby
sheetmetal
also.

Multiple small dents/scratches on sides fromprevious owner’s horses
o
Rear right door is slightly bent and now sealspoorly.

Fine in light rain, few drips in a storm, bringa towel if you go through a car wash
o
Bed has been used to haul things (imagine that!)so it shows scratches.
o
Exhaust pipe is bent a little between mufflerand tailpipe.
The only problem I’m awareof from this is that I’ve had to replace one of the rubber exhaust hangersbecause it’s stretched a bit farther now.

Both mirrors have met immovable objects and showthe scars

A big chunk of the left bed rail protector ismissing

Bent/mangled trim piece near hinge of centerconsole
o
½” crack in grill near driver’s side headlight
Buying process
If you’re looking specifically for a stick shift, you’reprobably looking nationwide.
There’ssome extra hassles buying from far

away, but itcan be done.

I’ve driven 7 hours before to buy a truck andbailed out when I saw it because it was in such bad shape.
I won’t do that to you.

You can arrange for someone to come inspect thetruck on your behalf – either a buddy of yours or a hired service.

I’m working from home most days, and can be somewhat flexible aboutscheduling.
I plan to ride along duringtest drives, but will let your inspector drive if they want (and are comfortablewith stick).

If you’re buying in person, come by with acashier’s check for the balance and I’ll give you keys and the title.

If you’re buying remotely, then send a cashier’scheck and arrange your own shipping.
