1965-69 Buick Factory V8 Tachometer Housing Skylark Gran Sport Wildcat

Description

Dry, Western Buick factory tachometer stand-alone pedestal housing.  Stored since the 1980s in my Denver Colorado basement.
This is the chrome Buick stand-alone
tachometer
housing (verses the console/consolette housing) for Buick's factory tachometer. I've included a 1969-era picture of Pop Kennedy's 1969 GS 400 race car that has a tach in this chrome housing,  installed on top of the dash where Pop could actually see it.
A tachometer, once installed, can be rotated to any position within the housing, to aid in installations both on top of the dash as well as below.
Pop Kennedy used a dash mounted tach in this "stand alone" style tach housing in his 1968 Skylark GS race car.  Despite what Pop has done, most will install it under the dash.
Very good condition. There is a small nick in the circular face plate that is
visible
in the pictures.
As this would have been an over-the-counter factory part, you're free to install it where ever you wish. Many refer to this specific mount as a 'knee-knocker', with owners installing it under the dash (on the bottom-most flange).
