This auction is for a top quality very rare 1940's post WWII vintage Fairbairn Sykes pattern commando fighting dagger knife with the original leather sheath, marked on the knife: J. NOWILL & SONS - SHEFFIELD, ENGLAND - ESTABLISHED A.D. 1700 - and marked on the sheath: MADE IN ENGLAND - This famous classic commando knife has a tight deer stag antler, leather rings, and decorative spacers handle grip, brass blade guard, brass nut pommel, and a sharp double edge encapsulated full tang high carbon stainless steel dagger blade. This knife appears just barely used if at all or unused with minor light storage and age wear, overall still in excellent condition. The sheath is missing the little strap and is torn at the top of one of the belt slots but overall still in good condition. Please zoom in on all pictures for details. This knife measures 10 3/8" with a 6 1/8" blade and in the sheath the weight is 6.4 oz.
